Benue State University was under attack and about 20 female students were raped

Students of Benue State University are protesting and its for the right reasons...

Their school was invaded by gunmen and there was massive robbery and rape of over 20 students by this men.

According to scoops from Tribune, a group of
suspected cultists attacked the female hostel of the Benue State University on Sunday raping at least 20 students without interference of any security personnel.

This incident happened at the Technical Block of the school around 10pm. The armed men were said to have had a field day without disturbance by the university security operatives.

Sadly enough, this latest incident was the third in the last one month, as it was gathered that a
female student of the university was raped about a week ago by a group of young men numbering four, when she was returning from where she had gone to read around 9.00 p.m.

Also, about three weeks ago, a 100-level female student was shot on campus by unknown gunmen, with her iPad, phones and cash snatched.

Following these recent developments, female students of the university marched in protest to the office of the Vice Chancellor, Professor Charity Angya, on Tuesday and insisted on an explanation why they were having these attacks...

The vice chancellor, who assured on security beef-up, also followed the protesting students into their hostel, while about seven students who were wounded in the last attack were said to have been taken to the school clinic for treatment.

Dean, Students Affairs, Professor Armstrong Adejoh, confirmed the developments, but insisted it was an internal security issue. He said the school would liaise with relevant security agencies so that surveillance would be heightened around the hostels.
