All you need to do to apply for a scholarship is to
send them a complete 2013 application. The application form is obtainable from their website Applications can besubmitted in two forms:It can be submitted electronically by scanning the pages and then emailing them or it can also be sent by post/mail, which is their preference, since many times they cannot open students’ attachments or the files arrive corrupted. They require a photo, which can also be scanned and emailed.
Please print or type your email address clearly on your application! Be sure to use the most
current form, which is the 2014 Scholarship
Application form
You can apply before you receive your official
acceptance letter, but you will not be awarded
a scholarship until you are accepted. When you
receive your acceptance letter, send them a
copy and they will attach it to your application.
In the subject line of the email when you send
this or any additions to your application, type
“application addition ”.
If a recommendation letter is not in English, a
verified translation must be provided along with
the original recommendation in the foreign
language.
Tips for sending your application electronically:
They require an official transcript from secondary school and from any tertiary school classes you have already completed. Be sure the transcript contains a key to interpreting the grades, as different countries use different systems of assessing the quality of the student’s academic progress. If there is no key included, your application will be disqualified. Do not include grades from primary level.
Send the complete package at one time. Do not
send piecemeal. (If scanning necessitates separate documents, send them one after the other, all in the same time period)
When sending via email, please label your attached documents, for example: WMF Application form, Recommendation #1, Rec #2, Personal statement, Acceptance letter, About the school, Grades.
Do not shrink or enlarge your attachments. They
will be too blurry to read when printed at normal size. To be sure you have scanned them in the dimensions in which they should open, email them to yourself and open them to see if they look right before sending.
When scanning and attaching documents, be sure they are dark enough to read after scanning. Illegible required documents will disqualify your application.
Deadline: There is only one deadline per year and that is April 1 .
